I wrote a book series about a boy prodigy from South America. While he was away at school in France, his family is killed for something his uncle had done to a drug cartel. He is a chess prodigy as well, and at the same time his family is killed, he meets his mentor. But the mentor is dying, he is in France undergoing cancer treatment. He's also a weapons scientist and trains the boy to be deadly. The two met when the boy beat him at on-line chess, as he was a Grand Master, he wouldn't believe it until he saw it live. Which he did, and then mentored the boy. Before the mentor dies, the boy has a vision from God that tells him to become "The Harbinger of Change" (Book Title) and remove all the money from the world. Which puts him against the USA. So, my design idea is this: The next book is titled, "And the meek shall inherit." So I want a chess board. I want the black side to represent the Meek, thus the pieces could be variations of sheep, but have a Pablo looking king and a Latin Beauty for the queen if possible. The femme-fatele in the books is a straight black haired Latin beauty.
On the white side, have the pieces be variations of dollar signs ($) and the king be a skyscraper and the queen be a fighter jet sitting on its tail. I would think the white side would loom ominously, lording over the meek side, but that is up for interpretation.
