Turk Tresize “If It Is to Be” Album Art
Finalists have been sent a private message. The message is the same for everybody and contains a link to the record. Thanks and good luck!!
Many of the submissions we've received seem to resemble the Ben Hur poster that we posted a bit too much. Our intention was to show the idea of a broken texture along with a "rustic" design feel.
We've discussed this some more and decided to add some additional information to the details that will hopefully get this going in the right direction.
UPDATED / MORE DETAILED CONCEPT:
The title of the album 'If It Is to Be' should be made of a rock or tile like structure that has been dropped on the ground and broken. Most of the pieces have been put back together but some are still not in their proper place. You can see the missing pieces spread around the ground where the person who is trying to put the "puzzle" back together, but they have not made it back to their proper place yet. Think about a time where you dropped you Mom's favorite coffee cup and tried to glue it back together.
"If it is to be, It's up to me." (to put the pieces back together)
ORIGINAL POST CONCEPT DESCRIPTION:
The title “If It Is to Be” reflects a line from one of songs on the album. The line is ”If it is to be, it’s up to me” meaning life is what you make of it and it is up to you to pull the pieces together to have them fit.
We would like to reflect this message with an image somewhat similar to a puzzle made out of tiles, rocks or other surface that has been cracked, chipped and broken and have it spell out “If It Is to Be” as a metaphor for putting the pieces of life together.
