MSL teaches conflict resolution to non-native speakers of English. Think of it as Conflict Resolution + ESL = MSL.
There are three main audiences for the website:
(1) Non-native English speakers who need to learn cross-cultural conflict resolution skills in English for academic or professional purposes(law students and lawyers; business students and people in business; interpreters/translators)
(2) English as a Second Language (ESL) students from any field (including science, math, engineering, technology) who want to improve their academic and professional -level English skills in an engaging and authentic way.
(3) Professors, Instructors and university/law school programs, such as ESL instructors and university or law school programs in the U.S. with many international students; or programs all over the world that want to offer combined courses in ESL and conflict resolution.
"MSL" and "Mediation as Second Language" are trademarked terms, so include the circled "R" trademark symbol after both "MSL" and the full name.
"Second Language" refers to both English and to new ways of thinking about conflict and communication that become like a second language.
Be careful to use "Mediation" and not "Meditation."
The logo will become part of the MSL trademark.
