Our competitors tend to implement as much change as they can at one time, forcing project managers and teams to adopt as much new process change and tools as possible.
Our competitive advantage is that we find ways to make projects more efficient and help companies strategize better on what projects they will spend their money on. We drive the change slowly and deliberately, avoiding significant risk.
Many consulting firms in this space may know how to design solid process but they may not actually know how to take a process and implement it in the tool. We are a Microsoft partner so we know how to implement the process change in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, and Microsoft SharePoint, which are heavily used in large organizations.
Our customers vary widely but they include product companies that want to speed up their time to market (think household brands like Apple, General Electric), energy companies that want to increase their market share (think Exxon, Duke Energy, PG&E), information technology (think software developers). Our clients are usually quite senior in the organization so they run Project Management Offices (PMOs), lead product development processes at a Director or VP level, and are very shrewd with their money.
