We're an alt-rock band for KIDS, aged 2-99, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. We've been on TV and tour internationally. We wear blue work coveralls, actually play our instruments and perform live which is very rare in our demo where actors and tracks make up most of the foolishness out there. We are treacle-free and encourage kids to be creators instead of consumers. Our core demo is probably 2-12 and we fuse the spirit of alt-rock with age-appropriate concepts. FYI - ultimately we want our concert/performances to be a shared experience for everyone in the family - not just the kids.
The name embodies a blue-collar approach to imagination - a roll up your sleeves attitude toward music for the body and brain.

The first two 'helpful images' we've uploaded are logos we've relied on in the past and actually really like. We love the 'energy' of these (namely the subtle gears, the arrows on some of the letters, the i in Imagination as a midpoint) but we do not like the color yellow. The font is strong but is made playful with the addition of the gears and wonky i's and arrows. It's fun but restrained. We also like that both words feel connected.
De-emphasize the word 'Imagination' in your 'take' especially since it is such a big word. Most people refer to us as the Movers anyway so making that a point of emphasis or balance is helpful.
If you look at the image named aesthetics, you get a feel for our distant past use of logos or what appealed to us on some levels but not like our present IM logo. The old stuff was uploaded to give you a feel/vibe but not for you to mimic per se. We see these as combinations of machinery/industry + music for the body and brain into kid-friendly (albeit with a dash of rebellion) designs. We've moved away from orange and blue so please DO NOT use orange.
Something retro cool - strong but friendly - would be appreciated. OR another way to inspire: think - work patch (like a janitor or mechanic might wear) for a rockin', blue-collar brainstormer, a worker in an idea warehouse. We want to be able to have it work both as a patch and text alone (as with our IMLogo and the same text but with the oval).
