The domain names I've registered for this site are faqs4macs.com and faqsformacs.com, but I am leaning towards using the one with a 4 in it. The tagline will read "411 For All Things Apple". This does not NEED to be in the logo, but the logo should be designed so that it could be added without looking out of place. I would also like to see a design with AND without the .com.
I would like something with at most 2 colors plus black as well as a design that would look good in white should I choose to reverse print on a colored piece for promotion. I know that gradients can be difficult to do that way so to make it dependent on a gradient may not work.
I don't want to see any obvious or "cartoony" depictions of computers, iphones, apples, etc. as I work with Apple, Inc. in certain circumstances and they'd balk at that. I feel I am leaning towards using the words as focus of the logo but will entertaining a creative additional element.
I have a second website (corecomputerconsulting.com) that has a graphic element that I'm not that happy with and will likely be changing that logo as well . . . and would like some kind of connection between the two so while that shouldn't have a major impact on this first design, it's something to keep in mind.
The focus of this site is to create a place where consumers of Apple products can submit support questions with the guarantee of one or many APPLICABLE answers. I get a lot of remarks from my clients that a web search generally only results in more iterations of THEIR question, but no good answers.
My preference is for all lowercase text, but all uppercase will be considered. No mixed case. Strong, bold fonts.
