Pizza restaurant needs a website. Currently have had a placeholder type one-pager at our site http://www.charleston
We don't need anything complicated like integrated online ordering or whatnot...just a clean, user friendly layout with information easy to find for customers.
We need the following nav elements in the design
History
Menu
Locations
Catering
Contact Us
Careers
It's upto the individual designers to determine how to incorporate them though (i.e. top nav, side bar, etc.)
We have a logo already, as well as a company mascot. You can get them both from this link in a zip file. The mascot is not necessary to the design, but if it can be incorporated tastefully, then that would be a plus
Please don't use the existing look of the site as a basis for what we're looking for in a new design. It's just utilitarian and shouldn't be an indicator of what we like necessarily.
As for colors and deisgn ideas, we are leaning more towards a more earthy home-spun feel. We're not exactly country cuisine, but then again we're not upscale gourmet pizza either. I can try to elaborate better once things get rolling, or answer some questions you might have about us.

wanted to throw out some more general ideas to work from. possible use of earthy colors and or wood grain somehow? also, i have come across a font i really like, that might work in some respect called 'cafeteria regular' and 'cafeteria black'. they arent a necessity for the design, but may end up working well as being a casual/informal font thats still really easy to read.

keep in mind we're a pizzeria, and not an italian restaurant...there's a big difference between them. if you are interested in looking at some of our contemporaries in our industry i'd say check out pizza restaurants online and stay away from anything that describes itself as an italian restaurant, italian eatery, trattoria, etc.
also, use caution with stock pizza/food photos, as very few of them out there would resemble our product, as we havent had time to hire a professional food photographer to have shots of our menu created. i'd rather try to leave them out of the design if possible.
