Cyberpunk 80's style logo needed for a Cyber Security conference

We are an annual computer security conference, and this is our 8th year. We attract all sorts of people that are in the information security industry including management, risk professionals and very technical engineers.

This year we are looking for an 80's theme idea.
We are also hoping to find some good Cyberpunk style designs.

We are looking for design that have something to do with "8" or the year, since it is our 8th year as a conference.

The logo that we need we go on bags, shirts and other things and typical we print it 3 colors. So just a text logo isn't something we are hoping for with the winner. More emblem style with a design/picture (not a shield) that takes up a bit more space are going to be the ones that are favored.

We are not looking for designs that include locks, shields, and keys as they are so overdone in the security world that no one likes them anymore!
