I like the use of negative space in this one.

I like how this is shown in perspective, rather than orthogonal. I like it’s also presented in a larger context.

Super cool how the paint splash is in the shape of a crown.

I don’t know why, this conveys a sense of trust and nobility for me.

I like the horse’s positioning, I don’t like how its anthropomorphic and cartoon like.

An alternative positioning for the horse. Don’t like the painted vibe.

Might be evocative of multiple innovations, not just one. Too detailed for a log imho.

Mildly interesting. Not right for this project, but I like how this offered a fresh take on the idea.

I like how this evokes a chess meatophor and might evoke the idiom’s story line of a dark horse performing well and defeating the established encumbents.

Interesting blend of color one the one side that could evoke a dark horse as a shadow. Without showing the light source, it’s not clear to me that it’s clear that it’s a shadow that’s being cast, though.
