Design a vintage/rustic logo for Central Mesa

Central Mesa

Locally owned restaurant serving fresh/scratch-made mexican cuisine. Fresh corn tortillas, charred street corn, house made guacamole, carnitas, in house chorizo, ceviche, etc. Tons of tequila. Fresh grapefruit palomas, lime margaritas, micheladas, etc. Mexican beer along with domestic craft beer.

Decor inside restaurant is: High ceilings, butcher block tables, huge wood bar, some exposed metals, etc. Color scheme inside is brown with pops of mustard yellow.

The building previously housed Central Shoes until around the 60's. We found an old piece of etched glass from the original store and altered the logo to produce the attached image. I want to keep the font and layout exactly the same. I would like to bring it to life and make it a complete logo by shading, lines, borders, art, etc... Whatever you think! But I do want it to incorporate the existing logo as a nod to the previous business.
